
Crossways Community’s 40th Anniversary
Crossways Community celebrated its 40th Anniversary in October 2007 with a series of events 
Crossways’ Family Day - 6th October
Based at St John’s Church in Tunbridge Wells, there was a welcome, opening prayer & tea, coffee and biscuits at 11am
Activities that were available during the day:
Children’s Room with Inflatables, Face Painting, Games, story time and activities
Presentations on the work of Crossways
Where we have come from? - the history of Crossways & how it came into being
Where are we now? – the current work of Crossways, what we are doing and how things have developed
Where are going? – looking to the future. The vision and ongoing work of Crossways
These talks will be done by Crossways staff, past and present. Be a time for questions and also to share stories
Crossways Exhibition – an exhibition on the history of the Crossways Community from 1967 – 2007 including photos, stories and memorabilia
Crossways Market Area – stalls that sold crafts, cakes, jewellery & Crossways items
Chapel Area – for quiet reflection and prayer
A buffet lunch was available.
The day concluded with a short time of thanksgiving and prayer. See pictures of the family day.
Service of Thanksgiving - 13th October 2.30- 4pm
Also based at St John’s Church in Tunbridge Wells. The service was led by Reverend Brian Woodgate - chaplain at Burrswood, Marilyn Baker sang and the rest of the music was led by Adam Parkes, (youth worker at Tunbridge Wells Baptist Church). A celebration buffet followed the service.
Coffee Morning
As we have had for many years, we had our annual Coffee Morning on 12th May at Number 8. These are great opportunities for us to catch up with old friends and meet our neighbours who are welcome to pop in and see us.
