On Sunday 3 May, Flourish had a stall at the Climate and Nature Fair in Calverley Park.
The fair was organised by a group of local volunteers from various environmental organisations who are passionate about protecting the planet and nature.
The fair had grown is size this year and had a jam-packed list of guest speakers including the renowned TV presenter and wildlife broadcaster, Michaela Strachan who also opened the event.
Flourish had a stall selling plants, many of which had been grown from seed by our gardeners. We were also promoting the other fantastic community projects run by Crossways Community. We were incredibly pleased to receive over £200 in donations for the project through the plant sale!
We had a lot of interest in our stall and members of the public were keen to hear about what we do on a day-to-day basis. There was plenty of interest from attendees to either volunteer or join the project as a gardener.
Despite the initial forecast, we had fine weather for the day and really enjoyed taking part in such a worthwhile event!
