Your Emotional Health at Christmas
Keeping your festive sparkle at Christmas can be a real challenge, especially within the context of the Covid pandemic. If you sometimes struggle with your emotional or mental health, you may want to take particular steps to support yourself this year. Here are a few simple ideas to explore for the month ahead:
How to find accommodation
We offer a variety of accommodation including residential care, also suitable for those who need a period of rehabilitation before moving onto semi-independent or independent living or floating support for those in our independent flats
Where to go in a crisis
If you’ve already been given a Crisis Line number from a health professional, call it. If you are under the care of a mental health team and have a specific care plan that states who to contact when you need urgent care, follow this plan. The charity Mind offers information about how to plan for a crisis, information about their services can be found here. The Samaritans operate a free to call service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, if you want to talk to someone in confidence. Call them on 116 123.
